Simple question. I have a mildly modded ep.. lowered.. 17" rays g-games... random stuff.. But anyways, Im not complaining, but i never seem to get pulled over. Since ive owned the car, a little over a year, ive been pulled over 2 times

1- Street racing(Yes I know, way stupid in such a slow car)
2- Not using my turn signal for 150 feet...

Thats it. What about you guys? Cops dont like pulling newer civics over or what?

 

It's not the cars fault that you get pulled over haha, so i don't believe in some cars being pulled over more than others. How you drive will determine you getting pulled over. I do believe in luck though, I have been pulled over 3 times in my EP and I think that's lucky because I drive it the same that I drive any car, and I speed, race, and do other stupid stuff to get me in to trouble or hurt, and I've been pulled over 7 times in my black GSR, weird.

 

lol! Yea i understand you in the speeding aspect. I go about 85-100 down the freeway at about 3am usually. Whats usually a 20 minute drive turns into a 5-10 minute.. haha.. I have a police radar, but still get scared sometimes. In oregon, I believe you loose your license for 1-5 years or something for speeding 25mph over the limit

had my ep for 2 years and been pulled over...probably five or six times. Seems like a lot more than that but i can't remember all of them. My car is almost completely stock.

tickets:
1) 89 in a 75
2) no proof of insurance (twice, both dismissed)
3) 45 in a 30 (reduced to one of the no proof of insurance tickets)
4) 74 in a 60

I drive on the highway and interstate all the time though. There are too many places for cops to hide.

 

hell i get pulled over for dumb **** like no front plate or no inspection, then they ask if i put the muffler on..? its only dumb ish that i could prevent but its also only been a coulpe times over the 3year span of driving the ep and sometimes they set up checkpoints looking for that **** too sooo.. no complaints here about getting stopped too much!

 

I have only been pulled over twice in my EP3 in the past four years, once for cutting through a parking lot and once for exhaust back when I ran my test pipe. I think most officers mistake it for a minivan

 

Twice for me also, in the 4 years I've had mine.
1st time in New Orleans doin 121 in a 70, cost me $433.
2nd time in my hometown for my stereo (2 door speakers), needless to say I got out of that one

 

haha for the stereo lol... the cop must of be that desperate to give a ticket out that day!

 

not once, owned for over 2 years... when I had my crx I got pulled over 2 times a month... cops would walk around it and say "just checkin up on things." or "you don't see these too often"

 

Have been pulled over once in a year or so. Have a $400 radar detector, and a state trooper shot me with Laser...96 in a 65, I should have gone to jail for 30 over, which they consider reckless endangerment, but it was 2am on an interstate. He was cool about it, wrote me up at 5 over and advised me about their new laser guns haha. $200 ticket.

yeah i got pulled over like 3 times already.
bought the car back in june of 2008.
ever since then i got:

- on my way to eugene, oregon from olympia, washington going 90 in 50. stupid kia was revving and i was annoyed. got let go with a warning cause of my girlfriend hhaha
- on my way back from eugene oregon to olympia, washington going 80 in 65. big ticket for that. i think it was like $285 only my second ticket.
- driving to work going on I-5 got pulled over because i was swerving due to my camber weared tires. he thought i was drunk haha. got new tires today though and a camber kit. my shock is blown so if anyone is selling a decent priced coilover set or anything, hit me up!

sucks son! but still have fun smashing when i can and making people in monster trucks mad when you don't rev your engine for them.

 

Damn, washington has some cheap speeding tickets. My first speeding ticket in cali was $400. Waiting to find out how much my second is going to be...

And it's not how old or new your car is. It really depends on what it looks like and how you drive it.

 

i gotten pulled over 3 times in my ep3. 1 for no front tag. 2 for doing 75 in a 45 i was slowing down when he clocked me due to i was just getting done racing another car which got alway. and 3. for doing 65 in a 45 at 1am.

 

When I Had My EP I rarely got pulled but Since I have my Type R its Like They just on my damn tail waiting for me to just squeeze.. I have spotted a police car behind already following me for like 6 miles before he backed off I just knew he was waiting to see if i was gonna speed But Who is smarter...

 

My buddy has one and drives like an idiot and he is yet to get pulled over!

 

I've had my EP for 2 years, and I've gotten 2 tickets. One time I got pulled over was when I went through a road checkpoint (got a ticket for no proof of insurance). Another time, I got pulled over for having a loud exhaust (got a warning for the exhaust and got a ticket for no proof of insurance) haha..starting to see a trend..

 

dayum when i had my eg bubble, i got pulled over for anything, once becuase i looked "suspecious" turning out of a empty street, mind you i was lost and had to make a uturn, when i had my 98 civic coupe i didnt really get pulled over much, twice for my front plate and once because my car was too low. with my rsx, not one time and i've had it for 2 years, the eg and ek i had for a year and a half each lol

 

i dont got an EP3 but a modded honda....I think cops always pull over imports for the dumbest ****. They will hand out exhaust tickets yet they dont do **** when a V8 drag car drives by with no cats. I got $200 ticket for chirping my tires in the teg...I wasnt even flooring it or going past speed limit my front tires were just bald.

And no, I've never seen a single EP pulled over or hassled by police. Here in Dublin, there are more EPs than in any other city I've lived in, so if there were an inordinate number being pulled over, I'd have seen it. They look too unassuming to attract attention unless the driver's being an idiot, IMO.

not too much but usually for things that are more of my own fault than the car.

no front plate, loud exhaust(rev match downshifting), no seat belt. those types of things. but cops dont pay too much attention to our cars as much as an eg or ek
