He wasn't being an ***, he was telling you the correct place to post and look. Try reading the rules stickied at the top of this forum, which tells you why there is no For Sale thread in this forum.

For Sale, Want to Buy, and Want to Trade Threads
These threads are not permitted and will be locked, moved, or deleted at the moderators discretion. Points will also be docked. The reason that these threads are not permitted is that the forum would quickly be overrun with them. We have the marketplace, users (no trial users) can post their goods and desired purchases there. You can put a link to these threads in your signature.
There was an official FS, WTB, and WTT thread posted at the top of the forum. It was removed on 2009-01-14 because people could not follow the posting format and include a trivial marketplace link.
