im replacing the tranny on my 91 da and in the process im replacing parts. the old upper ball joints are shot and im out of money. my buddy has a set of upper control arms with the ball joints for his dc he was just gonna give me but they dont fit. i was wondering if theres a way to pop the ball joints off of the dc control arms and put them on my da control arms. i tried hammering them out but they dont budge? im getting new skunk2 UCA when i get paid but really want to be able to drive my car while i wait on those to get here.

 

most upper control arms dont have removable ball joints. if you did take a retainint clip off them then they arent removable

 

Yeah, the whole arm needs to be replaced. You can get adjustable ones that might be able to replace it in the OEM arms, but honestly it's not worth it.
