just be sure to get your alignment checked after you are done.

The ESP traction bars are great. Worth every penny IMO.

Less weight, better handling. It's a win/win. That's what it's all about.

It seems to get rid of the center beam bar. Do you jack the car up from the traction bar instead???

I would like to see a cheaper traction bar come out. 450 bucks is still alot of money for that.

I still want one thought

DIY

do some research, its not that hard. Just very time consuming to get it right.

Actually if you replace your radius rod bushings with new rubber or poly, will help a bunch for cheap.

on that note, Poly bushings all the way around, lower & upper control arm bushings help a ton +++

Just them bushings in the lower arm are a b*tch to replace, have to be torched out & pressed in

i'd take an ESP traction bar with front mount, If I could afford it

^I don't see a problem with them? It seems to be an exact raplica for a third of the price, it's just welded metal with correct measurements.

The ones on ebay are made in china in sweat shops, thats why they can be so cheap.

That, and the heim joints aren't chromoly, the steel probably isn't 1/4" - 3/16", the welds probably aren't the best....I built mine (under $170) but the welder charged $110, and I have to get it powder coated. Take your time, and use common sense. Remember "measure twice, cut once" and you can do it with your basic tools. Maybe I'll post pics.....

more like measure 18 times, refit, measure 10 more times, refit, measure another 20 times, refit, tack, grind out tack, refit, measure more...refit.

maybe it wasn't that bad in a newer car, but in a 3G with an H its an absolute bitch. I modeled mine after the L-Con bars though, so that took alot longer

LOL! That's exactly how it was! But I wouldn't trade that experience for $450 and someone else's name on my car. My 2 cents.

How to calculate the angle and the distance from the end of the bar for the radius rods? What kind of material use for the radius rods? Just solid aluminium? What thickness?

It would be nice if someone actually compared the stiffness of the stock crossmember compared to some of these aftermarket ones.

My opinion is traction bars are traction bars, I mean my friend even welded his in his basemen. No more then just three bars that help the car from wheel hop. OP its cake to put them on just remove your oem tow hooks and connect to your control arms. Shouldn't take more then 45mins. The only problem I had was trying to get around my charge pipe.

A traction bar isn't a crucial part of the suspension of an older Civic. They work just fine without it. The Prelude is different...
