Default 05 dc5 type s

okay, so since i've gotten the car i haven't raced it or anything. but as i was merging onto the highway, i went to get it into 4k rpm and i shift and then i notice this smell coming from the vents. i can't really tell what it is, but i was wondering what i should be looking for, or i shouldn't be worried about anything?

Word, I hate when people come into the shop that have never heard of a cabin air filter lol. I pull it and show them and say here, this is what you're breathing, as little dead animals fall on the flower and crap haha. Def. could be a cause of any weird smell. Another thing maybe could be your coolant, not likely but when coolant goes bad it smells kinda burnt and gross.

Check up under the passenger side of the dash above/behind the glovebox.

Yep, they are behind the glove box. There is 2 little clip things you need to pop out to be able to lower the glove box all the way then you will find the 2 trays that hold the cabins. Slide the first one out and then the 2nd can slide over to come out.
