H23a Motor
I recently got a 93 lude with a H23
Before i open her up i got a few questions
If a rod is thrown should i re-sleeve it?
Do i need to replace ALL Piston and rods or will it be okay if i replace 1-2ish

To be honest with you I wouldn't reuse that block. I had a h23 that had a rod knock and I am replacing it with a F22B which is the same exact thing as the h23 except for the fact that the F22B has iron sleeves and not FRM.
x2. Not a bad idea. That would be my solution when this time comes.
That block is likely not salvageable. If it is I would assume the machine costs would overshoot the amount it would cost for a f22b or similar block.
We can't tell you what you need to replace eitherway. We can't see inside your block. Some things might be fine, others won't be. Open her up and take pictures. Than we can advise. Otherwise, but an f22b bottom end and mate your h23a head to her.

What car does a F22b come out of, And should i use same internals? or should i change pistons? Im not trying to build it for really high hp just a little get up and go
Use the whole f22b block, pistons and all. All you need to do is swap the head from your h23 onto the f22b block pretty much.
You just basically need an f22b shortblock for maybe a couple hundred dollars.
f22b I believe came out of an accord. Not 100% sure though.

anyways to the OP finding an f22 block isnt hard as it came in almost evry accord witch honda sold a whole lot of...thus making it probably cheaper to just get a block or a whole f22 swap
