if i wanted to repaint my integra red again.. would i sand down to the primer, then reprimer and paint or just down to get the surface scuffed up and then paint over that and clear?

 

i'll use 800-1000 grit sand paper. Sand it, then paint it.

 

if the surface isnt that bad you can just scuff with a fine scotch brite pad to remove all the shine and shoot your new base and clear coat

 

I usually use a grey scotch brite pad and some final sand or scuff stuff, work out really well for me. If you are not changing colors just shoot on your base and clear, if u do change colors I highly recommend using sealer.

 

you dont have to sand it all the way down. just run quick sand with 800gritt and then use the gray scuff pad to scuff teh whole car and it will be ready to paint.

 

what i did was wet sanded my entire car with 400 and the sealed based cleared

 

i used p500 then gray scotchbrite then base n clear
