Default shaving head for ls/vtec

anyone know how much i can shave off of a b16 head on a b18a block with stock pistons and head gasket without having a meeting between valve and piston? and the compression ratio produced if possible.

i think the most should ever be machined is about 40 thousandths, and only that much for resquaring. just get a mugen head gasket to up compression, don't **** with milling it too much.

i'm not sure of exact machining tolerances, but i would be careful. the stock b18a pistons do not have the valve reliefs that the vtec head requires. thats why guys replace the pistons w/b16/type r (well besides bumping the comp) etc.. imo just buy a set of stock bore vtec pistons. you'll have to buy cam gears anyway to adjust your setup once the head is milled.
