clutch problems, help please!

Default clutch problems, help please!

91 integra ls cable tranny
new clutch
just put it in
car wont go into gear, it grinds, like the clutch disk isnt engaging or something
pedal feels a little firm about a 1/4 way in and then gets loose
ive tried putting the cable all the way down and all the way up, then in the midle and 1/4 way down and up
can anybody tell me whats going on? or what i can do?

my buddys car did the same thing. shut the car off put it in gear start up then try driving. he did this a couple of times and it has worked great ever since

did you make sure you put the throw out bearing on right? like putting BOTH sides of the spring on?

yeah i found out it was too tight
if i pushed the clutch in half way it would shift perfect
so i adjusted the cable like six more times and finally got it and now i dont wanna move it lol

that actually worked it helped me find out that the cable was too tight lol

that's a good and a bad thing about cable trannys, adjustable
