Default Need some insight on Valve lapping.

I am currently doing a refresher on a gsr motor and wanted some of your guys opinions. The motor has 130k miles on it and all the valves appears to be good. I already took apart the valve train to replace the valve seals. My question is, before I put her all back together, do you recommend lapping the valves?

I have heard both sides of this, one saying it helps and others says that its a waste of time and that it is also bad because the gritty compound embeds into the valve seat. Many say it wont make a difference, since the valves will expand upon heat and create a air tight seal.

So i am just wanting your opinions or insight.

thanks!
