Default Type R cams

Ok I have a b17 block with a b16 head and I was wondering is there anything i need to do to put type r cams in or can I just put them in and go? thanks

Type R valve springs would be a good idea, if not aftermarket ones.

no, but tuning will get you more power. i have type r cams in my gsr and vtec pulls way harder than before. since its not that big of a cam just wait til you've done everything you wanted to the motor then get a tune.

how much power will they make on gsr with bolt ons and tune

you really can't tell about 5+ HP is just what the cams do you will see better mid range power...i know that

if you did the cams, intake manifold, VT, and a good exhaust you would basically be making a lower compression type arrrrrrr which of course means the p73 ecu will be close. a real tune would make more power but the p73 would work

you cant tell cuz all motors are different. plus, what kind of bolt-ons do you have? it depends. the best way is to tune and put in the cams and then re-tune.

will be using crome pro with plx m300

would ek9 cams be better since there slightly more aggressive?
also adjustable cam gear are a good idea also?
