90 ef auto belt noise (SEARCHED!)
First of all, i searched everywhere, inside this forum as well as google.
90 ef sedan lx, autobelts. i just got them working last nite FINALLY. but the problem is that they continue to beep even when they are latched. this is what i've heard as possible causes.
-horn/brake fuse under hood blown
-L shaped door sensors stuck in one position
neither of those cause my problem, all fuses are good and both L shaped things are fine, the door indicator doesnt flash on my cluster when the doors are closed.
the only possibly thing i can think of, is the two plugs under the front seats. i have DA rails, with EF seats. there is no plug for the wires to plug into under there, i dont know why. i was using DA seats with DA rails and the wires were hooked up at one point.
im not going to the dealer for this, they have a 100$ service fee even for seatbelt related problems.

dude i have a chiltons manual, there is NO mention of the seatbelts in there. its ******* weird. safety belts, auto seat belts, restraint system. nothing at all. there is only one reference to it, the circuit diagram mentions the seatbelt indicator. its fuse #1 which also controls about 5 other necessary things.

btw seatbelts have a lifetime warranty, if infact they have a defect. they might consider your seats as modified and not want to cover them (judging from how you described it). plus they might not care about the beeper just the functionality of the seatbelts. if all else fails the beeper can be disconnected, its behind the seatbelt indicator near the rear view mirror.

ok well how do you explain when i had the DA seats, DA rails, DA Belts, the floor board plugs plugged in.
i didnt switch rails or seatbelts when i put in the EF seats. the only thing that is swapped is the cushins, the butt and back cushins. everything else is the same but the plugs are gone!

do the seat cushins thenselfs have some sort of sensor in them? maybe like a sensor to tell when someone is sitting? maybe thats what those plugs are for.
reguardless of how the plugs disappeared you still need them. ive seen some that were just cut off. maybe its still there but just hidden behind/under something?
the plug is for the buckle.
the plug is for the buckle.

ok i talked to the dealer, void warranty cuz the seat rails are from a DA but whatever.
i know what the problem is....the seats i have, 88-89 pleather ef sedan seats DONT have a recieving plug due to the fact there were manual seat belts. so my automatic buckles with the plugs have nothing to plug into.
i have DA seats which were plugged in like i said, thats because they were auto belts. so, i need to find a way to take the wiring out of the da seats and put it into the EF seats.

yeah but i have no idea how you would even wire a buckle that isn't wired.(or maybe i misinterpreted you)
just replace the whole buckle with the appropriate type (if you still have the da buckle that worked for you use it), its just bolted to the rails, you will need to remove the seats to access it.
BTW i have regular manual seatbelts (91) which also have a plug on the buckle
