Got 92-01 4lug alloys? Wanna trade?
Have some alloys? Wanna trade?
I have (4) 16" Enkei RS-5's 8x114.3/100 40mm offset with hubcentric rings that I want to trade for 92-01 EX alloys w/ at least 50% tires. They look kinda like GramLites. The rims have Kumho Ecsta 712 205/45/16 on them right now. 2 tires have baaaad camber wear and 2 have massive flatspots from locking the brakes at 60+mph trying to avoid an accident. They have minor scratches from daily driving. I was going to paint them gunmetal or have them powdercoated.
I took my camber kit off last year and have 2+ degrees of neg camber and I can't afford to keep buying 16" tires every 6-8 months so I want to downgrade to 15" because the tires are cheaper. My Loss your gain.
Remember at least 2 tires NEED TO BE REPLACED. The other 2 are drivable but I'd say they are about 30-50%.
I'm not willing to ship so I'm looking for NOrCal/Northern Nv/maybe southern Oregon. I want to see the condition of the alloys before I trade. So I'd be willing to meet you halfway.
PLease don't move this to for sale as I'm not getting any views and this does pertain to Accords.

Well considering I'm trading straight across I don't really think it's that bad of a deal. My $480 16" rims for your $2-300 alloys.
I bought 16" rims instead of the 17 or 18's I originally wanted thinking 16 would be a nice compromise between heavy 17/18's and 14/15 performance. But tirewise you still pay close to the same as 17+ tires. I've always wanted EX alloys but you can never find a decent deal when you have the cash in hand. But the cost of replacing 16" tires every 9-10 months due to camber issues is killing me. I'm just kinda sick of 16" and I can't afford 18" so I thought I'd go for a stock type look and pay less for tires.
I'm not shipping and will only do a face to face deal in Nor Cal or Northern NV, so no one gets screwed or has issues later. That way we both know before finalizing what we are getting.
I'm just curious what you don't like about this idea... specifically?
I can address any fears that anyone has because I'm not out to screw anybody. I'm just a poor broke bastard that wants some alloys and is wiling to take a hit on the what i paid for the rims to lower the long term cost of tires.

i switched to lude rims for the same reason. I also removed the camber kit after about 7 months, had issues with the a-arm clearing the frame.
I thought I'd try one last time w/ some pics...
C'mon the alloys don't have to be in perfect condition

If this doesn't work then, Ebay, here I come.

That's only about 15-18k miles.... What can i say? I had some funky Dunlops on there before and I was a little zealous when I first got the Kumho's. A few burnouts here a few there and forgetting to rotate until about 8-10k with 2 degrees negative camber and BINGO! 1 half looks new and the other half is KIA.
Are you talking about the last pic? That was from a near miss or more to the point a near hit on the freeway. Locked brakes at 65+ mph is a scary, scary thing.

I was thinking about getting a camber kit. Why are u guys taking them off your cars? What happends when you leave them on?
I (currently) want to get the progress ball joints. I like the Progress Group. Their website is very techincal. Their products seem very well engineered. And everything magazines have to say about them is good good stuff.
Opinions? I will start another thread if neccassary. I want to know whats up with your guys' camber kit experiences.
My car is only dropped 2.25" but I still had the inner fender knock on undulations and bumps. I just didn't want to be replacing a control arm down the line. Besides, when I took it off the ride just felt better and it seemed like it handled better. It gave a more solid feeling without the kit. It might have been a psychological thing.
C'mon someone trade me... today's the last day. Tomorrow I have to take my chances on Ebay.
