Does anyone know if a vehicle speed sensor off of a B series motor will work on a D series motor?

 

If you want one for a D series motor, I think I have one laying around in my brothers garage. I can just give em to you..South San Francisco...Where you from?

wheres the D series and B series VSS located at??
i always thought it was part of the Dash intrument panel.....

 

VSS is on the transmission. Its a little gear instrument where the speedo cable is attached to. As I said, I have a couple of those laying around, but have to dig for them. IM me or email me...if you point your mouse to my name and click, it should give you some of my info...Where in Northern Cal are you from?

 

Yeah they are interchangeable, but kinda halfassed. You can experience intermitent engagement, sometimes you'll have to wiggle it a little.

 

God, i didnt know they were...I drove for about 2 months without knowing my speed and kinda gauged it on the tach...lol. or just maybe on the Si's...I had a DX and speedometer wouldnt work when I swapped the VSS...but luckily found someone on the classifieds forum and rest is history. Glad to see speedo needle work once again.
