Default Taking apart h23 block

So I had a rod knock and had to pull my motor. I have an extra F22b block that I am throwing in my car but I want to take apart the block and have never done it. LOL it had quite a few pieces of metal lying in there. So any help would be appreciated. In the third picture I took off the bolts in the appropriate order but what do I do next? Do I just apply pressure and remove that piece?

Stick a pipe under it and hit the pipe gently with a mallet.

If you don't already have the helms, here: http://www.spoonertuner.com/manuals
