my current tranny is running on its last leg. the tranny is from a 89 civic si, and has loud bearings. i already had to drop my 91 crx si tranny because of bad syncros. i really dont want to just go out a buy another used tranny, because it could be just as bad as my trannys. i found a rebuild kit, but i dont think i have the experience to tear open my tranny. my question is, should i try to find a shop to do it for me, or should i try it myself. i have never opened up a tranny, but did my zc motor swap myself. does anyone know any web sites with some more info on re-building a crx si tranny?

 

if you still have your old trans laying around you might as well try it. just take your time, keep everything neatly organized, and get a chiltions manuel for your car. it will help you out greatly. it should have some help ful info
