are the side moundings all the same between si and dx? do they just yank off or is there a certain way to remove? can the mouldings be painted without problems? and does anyone want to buy a zex kit for $350 or trade for a dohc vtec head?

its clean right? no piston damage? do you have the v tec soilnoid, intake manifold, and tb? im going ls/vtec. how far from sacramento are you?

 

Side moldings differ from year model...the clips break when you take em off and only the door molding-clips can be replaced. You're gonna have to replace the moldings for both fenders and rear panels, because you can't buy the clips for those. I just had mine painted and screwed in. Hardly noticeable, but its only temporary until I can muster saving $250 to replace em all with new ones.

 

all the moulding can be removed and painted. I used a paint by Plasticoat designed specifically for that job. i have sucessfully removed and repainted and only broke one clip per side. you can buy the clips from magestic honda at: http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/ but they are expensive. While you are at it paint the front and rear bumbers too then they all match. The helms manual shows how to remove the moulding.
