Default Auto body help asap please!!!

Here's the situation. i am fairly new to auto body, i went to a shop the other day to get a quote on body work cause i'm going to have my car painted. well the shop gave me a quote of 1100-1200 in labor about 28 hours to do the work. ill show you some pics and you can see what you think. i have a really good feeling the shop was trying to get one over on me.

im not goin with an expensive show quality paint, i think i'm going to go with a flat black but i want to get the rust fixed. i was thinking bout doing the body work myself.

my questions are did i get over quoted and am i getting myself into a difficult job if i do it myself?

thats the drivers side door (pic 1&2) and the drivers side rear quarter (pic 3,4 & 5) and these pics are the passenger rear quarter. o and the quote they gave me was just labor not even materials or to have the car painted.

that is a lot of work needed. i'm sure the whole cost is going to be around the $3500-4500 range. that's a lot of metal they have to cut and weld and also a lot of bondo to smooth it out.

Thats a reasonable price. To get that thing to look decent and last is going to take alot of time and work. If you havent done any bodywork before I wouldnt suggest trying to tackle this project. You wont get it to look factory I can assure you that.
