This past Friday marks the day I got back in the saddle after a long hiatus. We headed out to Kinsmen Kart Track out in Dixon. I had installed my friend's Swedetech engine on my kart to break it in for him.

The engine was jetted with a 190 main (nice and fat to be safe) and the squish was set to a very conservative 0.40".

The kart ran great. I got 2 good sessions on the engine and it was working nicely. I did not take any pictures....but I took some video!!!!

Using the SVH's GoPro setup, the camera was mounted to my helmet on the right side. A different perspective to karting. This video was edited using some basic tools on Windows Movie Maker. I am still undecided as to which app I like better for editing raw video footage. iMovie or Windows Movie Maker.

Here are the warm up laps on the second session. There were 3 of us out there on Friday. The SVH, Adji, and myself. When I get the rest of the video out, you'll see us all "dicing" it up. The SVH makes 2 or 3 cameo appearances with us slower folk.

way to get back into the saddle mario... I was watching the posts closely waiting for the return or Super Mario!..
