Steering knuckle wont line up with UCA
i have a 94 LS and did some suspension work. Now when im trying to reinstall the knuckle it wont tilt back up to meet up the the upper control arm. Any input would help. I might of overextended my cv but i was real carefull and the axel still turns so im not for sure. thanks

Look to see if the inner joint has been over-extended. The rubber boot will look stretched out. That's the only reason I can think of that the knuckle wouldn't connect back to the UCA.

You can possibly get it back in straight w/o removing the axle from the car if you mess around with it for awhile. However this happened when lowering a friend's EP3 and we had to remove the axle. For some reason I couldn't get the tripod bearings on the axle shaft to fit back into the slots in the joint cup until the axle was off the car.
Thanks for your help i fixed and thought i would report back to complete this thread and make it worthy of a search. All i did was take a rubber mallet and tap it a few times while rotating it and it popped back in place.
