help with an ac in a b16 crx
all right. i know this has probably been answered many times, but from what ive read in searches i couldnt get a clear, concise answer.... so the situation is: ive got a b16a in my 91 crx si. when i did the swap, jim at motorvations said that he would have to fabricate a bracket to keep my ac from my d-series to put into my b, which i know somewhat not to be true. there has to be a bracket that i can get from another car to use. from what ive read, you can use, gsr, del sol, all kinds of thing, being thrown around. my question is.... has anyone done this, SUCCESSFULLY, without any mods from one of these brackets? i really dont want to shell out the money for the one from hasport. and what kinda belt should i use? any clear answers would be appreciated, and if you happen to have that part, a price would be appreciated also. thanks.

There is not an oem bracket that will work without modification. This is why Hasport created a bracket.
I have the Hasport bracket and i just used my stock crx belt.

Same here I am going to be using a HCP bracket for the a/c install in my ls vtec Crx. Either buy a bracket or make one work, those are the only options.
so you're saying that the gsr and/or del sol bracket wont work for my b16? well..... that sucks, because i live in alabama. its hot as ****, and you dont drink water down here in the summer... you breathe it. furthermore i really dont want to spend 100-150 bucks for the hasport.... i was really hoping someone would give me some good news on this subject..... anyone else have any other ideas?
Correction: i dont want to spend $199+shipping
