Hawk HP+ front & Wagner ThermoQuiet Ceramics Rear.. what do you think?
Alright here is goes:
2000 Integra LS/VTEC (187whp) w/ 02 RSX TypeS front brakes (11.8" setup) with Hawk HP+ pads. I just bought 01 ITR rear calipers and 02 Civic Si Rotors (10.3" setup).
I would like to get Hawk HP+ pads for the rear too, but I'm tight on money and needing to choose a pad in the next 2 days so I can have the car ready for this weekend.
I work at Advance Auto Parts so I can get the Wagner ThermoQuiet Ceramic pads for about $18 after mail in rebate and my discount vs. $86 for the Hawk HP+.
Do you think this would be a good setup for now or is there another pad I should consider for the price? I have used Axxis Ultimate pads on all my cars and love the pads, but for the price, I would rather spend the extra to get the Hawk HP+.
What I am really concerned about is will the Ceramics be enough stopping power to even the braking in the car or will I need a better pad to even the brake power?
Also, I will be running Kumho V710's (215/40-16).

I used to work for Advance so I am familiar with the wagner pads. A few of our friends used the wagner ceramics for a few open track days at Texas World Speedway because of there longer life. They were in a financial bind at the time also, so they chose them over a traditional performance pad. When higher performance pads were later purchased, they kept the wagner ceramics for street use because they seemed to last so long.
I've decided to go with Axxis Ultimates since my friend gave me a great deal on them through Napa.
what tires will you be using?
your Front HP+ are "generally" not enough for HPDE. Especially for intermediate level driving.
What you should have gotten are the HAWK blacks at min if you want to stick to HAWk brand. U can DD Hawk Blacks but they will dust a lot and wear out faster that way. Just get an extra set of front rotors and swap out before HPDE's. Axis ultimates are a good choice for the rear.
With 210whp K2a2 95 civic I needed XP8s min front, ended up with Satisfied Gransport GS3 on ITR front brakes and Carbotech XP8 rears. Ballance was perfect. I could run street tires or R comps on that setup and not overheat them.
