Engine Hiccups at idle but rpm is stable
Hi,
My engine hiccups pretty frequently at idle - It's very quick cut off sound which you can here from the exhaust and the car shakes very slightly (rpm does not change or bounce) - Could it be air bubbles in my coolant system?

mine does this...was way worst before i changed the plugs so maybe check the plugs...
I wouldn't go as far as the fuel pump as then the car would pretty much die and u would notice a drop or bounce (most likely) in the idle from the motor starving for fuel
one thing to consider would be the IACV...most ppl neglect to clean it
that and the EGR witch is engaged at idle. if i recall corectly the egr operates until 1800 rpm (in my f22b anyways) but pls correct me if I am wrong

I just replaced my spark plugs and it still hiccups. Since I have been driving it for awhile it is now even worse. The exhuast cuts and the whole car vibrates. Not only in idle but while driving! Please Help!
turn the car on with one plug out of the head and grounded to the valve cover and see if there are any ignition sparks that are weaker compared to the others.
