Default 99 civic si security

the security is messed up in my 99 civic si the lights always flash at random times when the car is off. Im pretty sure the factory security is messed up. Is there a simple way to disconnect power to it or something? Why would it be do this and is there an easy way to disable it? im no good with wiring but i can follow directions pretty well so any help would be appreciated.

Unplug the alarm, it is to the right of the steering column, it is a green plug. 94
