Default Armor All wear/fading issues?

Hey all,

Quick question to those of you who use or have heard anything about problems using Armor All products on plastic interiors. I've used this stuff on and off for a couple years but I 've always heard from a couple folks that Armor All can actually increase UV damage and speed up cracking and fading on plastic and rubber. I paid little heed to this until I heard a guy working at a place that washes planes at the airport was told he would be fired if the boss found any of the stuff on any plastic or rubber components on small planes...

Any thoughts on this? What do you guys use to shine your interior and protect external plastic and rubber parts is not Armor All?

Thanks,
Strtpls3

Yes, I too have heard Armour All products are bad for your interior. But unless you're detailing the inside of your car on a daily basis, I don't think you have much to worry about. I have a bottle of the stuff in my garage

I like Prima Nero. It's water based and it leaves a matte finish. I don't care for the slimy, glossy look.

poorboys world trim restorer is great stuff. you can make it a matte finish or a glossy as hell finish. the stuff lasts a long time which is good for oregonians and our infamous rain.

Iv'e been told by many that 303 Areospace protectant is hands down the best. It's ridiculously expensive but the best.

I use the turtle wax F21, looks great. Mother's preserve protectant was great too but can't find it anymore.

me too. Nice matte clean look, dark and clean not shiny goo that evaporates into a greasy film inside your windshield like armoral

Anything water based is better than armorall. I use megs and chemical guys for things like that. Ive yet to try 303 out, but I do hear rave reviews about it.

Yup, matte finish for me too. I hate the glossy oily finish most interior products give. I have a bottle of Mguiers Detailing spray but I've never thought of using it on the interior.

yeah, i order most of my stuff from AG

i use optimum protectant on my interior. it's awesome for leather AND vinyl. love the stuff. it repels dust and is a matte finish. feels like nothing is applied....really smooth and not greasy.
