B20 vtec build
Ok guys i need some help...i have a b20 stock bore block, with cp 12.5.1 compression pistons, ls knife edged crank, eagle rods, block guard, acl bearings, and arp head studs....i am wondering whether or not to build a b16 head or to buy one already built off of a website...i am hoping for at least 230hp all motor...and im planning on running e85 and spraying with maybe a 100-175 shot [not quite sure yet] aswell....I have heard stock head with skunk 2 pro 2's,ferra/rev hard valve train would be enough support to get to that number on motor...idk if thats tru or not....lmk what you think...
If you haven't got your cylinder head yet I would wait until you do so you can really know the compression as which head you get will affect that. If you are aiming for 12.5:1 we run 92 octane here in Washington with no problems. All your power is going to be in the head, so what you decide on is very important. 1 - Good flowing head 2- cams that are designed to work in the flow range of your head 3- Intake manifold that will flow what the head and the cams want. 4- Good header. Fairly easy to figure out if you really think about it.
