anything is possible with a little bit of creativity and insanity.

Best guess is it would, since the K23A is based on the K24 from the TSX. Find some technical documentation on each of the motors and go from there.

I think you're looking at some fabrication, myself. I'm pretty sure the k23 engine/tranny combo is significantly wider/taller/deeper than the d17 dimensions...

It's a much taller motor, especially with the standard top mount intercooler, and I believe it's transmission is unique. There have been several attempts with no luck.

I'm sure there's a chassis out there it'll work in, but the cost to benefit factor probably would end up not being worth it.

^^ truth.

SH-AWD vehicles have 3 ECU's also. Might as well buy a k24 and boost it.

Actually the K23 blocks differ in quite a few aspects from the K24A2 blocks. The mounts, for instance, are different. Then there is the transmission to consider, since the K23 would need an adapter plate to mount to any other K-series transmissions.

That's about as factual as you can get when relating to this swap. A K24 with boost would make the same range of power for a much smaller budget.

They're not identical, I wasn't saying they were. There are a lot of similarities, but there are also major differences. Mounts are different becuase it's in a different chassis than the K24 from the TSX. The head and IM are also different because of the top-mount intercooler. However, making an adapter plate for a transmission bell housing to fit wouldn't be all that difficult to fabricate if a Ford automatic can be mated to a 4G64. That would be the least of the problems.

Again, nothing is impossible.

were not saying its impossible. were saying its not practical. the snail on that is as big as my fist. why go through all the trouble of a swap like that when you can make more power and have a more reliable car by swapping in a K24 and boosting that?
