Default RRC type R IM

Has anyone here installed this IM and is it a direct bolt on? I have read that this is a great bolt on for increased performance. I found one new in the box for $345.00. This wouild be for a 08 SI.

Thanks,

It is a straight bolt on for 2006 and up Civic Si. It added 9 whp peak for my customer and a solid 5 whp throughout.

The $345 price you found does NOT include shipping and handling and expect a miimum of $25 extra.

I sell them for $415 shipped and hmotorsonline.com sells the for $345 plus shipping and handling. Expect to pay at least $25 cuz his handling charge is 3% of part and shipping. The Item weighs 13 lb and dimensions are 18x12x8.

Why would it be less? He doesn't do wholesale as I have tried to buy from him on that level. Have you bought from him on a cash level before? Have you forgotten sales tax?
I have been to his shop a few years ago with "cash" and I didn't get a "cash" price and he charged me sales tax.

Was the $475 price listed on his site? Steve adds shipping cost to the selling price then charges 3% as a handling fee.

I paid full boat for a B16 swap plus sales tax and picked it up myself.

I hope you get it for less, Steve is really tight on pricing to put it in a nice way and I have been giving him my business for a very long time

wow $50 is a rip unless that includes sales tax. $16.15 would offset his credit card fees.

For you Cali residents it's against Cali law to add a surcharge because you are buying with a credit card. Many merchants sell at a higher cost to offset credit purchases and offer a cash discount to get around this law.

yea some places do add surcharge. like gas stations were adding a couple cents per gallon i think for credit card users. it was on kcal9 news a while back. and it was unlawful.

im thinkin about getting that manifold this weekend after i get paid =]
theres no diy for it eh?

i dont think it would be the same.
cuz u have to pull out the injectors, fuel rail, sensors, and whatever miscellaneous things and swap them to the new manifold.

Well it isn't that much more. I took the rail and injectors off as 1 piece. Be sure to lube up the o-rings on the injectors with Vaseline before putting them back in and to relieve fuel pressure simply remove the fuel pump fuse while the vehicle is running.

I removed the injectors while doing the IMG, all in 1 piece, as stated above , if fuse is pulled while car is running you will lose line pressure, if car has not been run for a while(1hr) you will only have the fuel that is left in the rail, we dont have a return line , so they depressurize on their own..Just place rags to catch the fuel that comes out of the rail, it wont be much..be careful to pull the rail up evenly to not snap the injectors, when removing..Then just make sure you disconnect all the plugs, and remove all the bolts and give it a firm pull and remove it.. you will need to remove the front cross brace inorder to get to everything cleanly..

the 1 that says fuel, inside car, i dont remem if there was a relay under the hood or not , but if you let the car sit, it will lose pressure and will really have very little gas in the rail anyway.

After you remove the i-VTEC cover be sure to hit your manifold and injector area with a can a brake cleaner to keep debris and any oil that may be there from dropping into the cylinder ports.

The 1st mod I recommend for any Si owner is a catch can.
