There is no specified service interval for the water pump. Change it when it begins to leak.

I haven't seen a leaking water pump on a K-series engine yet, and our shop services over 70 Hondas and Acuras per week. I've only seen one isolated incident of the water pump bearing making noise on an '02 CR-V.

Don't worry about it.

damn you type gansta.... lmao

Till you have over heating problems, hear a bearing going bad, or eat a belt I wouldn't worry either. But if you want to change it at for say 100k miles I would do that.

this is a really old question, but i'm gonna bump because i'm at this point

at idle i hear some slight squeaking. i'm thinking of changing drive belts. Think i should do water pump too or does that involve a lot more work? Is it on the chain or the belts?
130K miles

Pull off your belt. While your belt is off spin all the pullies by hand and try wiggling them to check them all for bad bearings. If nothing put on a new belt and don't worry. Water pump is belt driven and it's not hard to change. Just not one you need to change till it goes bad.

the belt tensioner pulley is common to start making squeak noise first.

I have seen lots of RSX water pumps make noise and the pulley start wobbling at 90K+ miles.
