I'll give one jdm point to anyone who answers this questions. I received my motor on a palette, thus it was leveled. No oil spilled out of the axle holes. installing the motor while it was slanted some tranny oil came out.

logically i assume i'm short on mtf so i go buy some. i un bolted the fill bolt , not the drain bolt, and tranny old came gushing out. Meaning it was full, infact it was overfilled because your suppose to fill up to the point the fill bolt spills.

so the question is why didnt all the tranny oil spill out when it was being shipped to me? is oil trapped until you spin the axles or do some specific action?
