Default any tokico blue user?

my car is only for daily driving and never will be on the track. i was just wondering how low can you go with the BLUE without it gettin it blown? I just bought eibach pro kit for my 2000 civic si which give me 1-1.5 drop. Will this set up be fine? in the future i would like to drop at most 2 inch so i hope Blue can handle that. thanks in advance. i know koni and illumina is a lot better but i cant afford that...

Blue is fine for you. They handle 1.7" drop I believe.

Yeah the Blues would be fine with those Eibach springs although they are stock replacements.

I would not expect HP's to handle a 1.7" drop. ProKits would be borderline pushing it for those shocks. I wouldn't trust them with anything more than something like H&R OE Sports.

i've been hammering blues with tein h techs which are actually slightly stiffer in the front than the actual H&R sport. they just are not quite as low. no problems with 1yr plus and counting. however..for basically the same price you can get koni's new non adjustable sport shock which is how i would go.

My friend's DC4 has been this low for about two years on skunk2 coilovers and tokico blues...they're bouncy as ****, but they haven't blown. I wouldn't recommend the set up but it'll last you.

If they are "bouncy as shAt" then they are most likely blown.

Why people insist on putting race springs and stiff@$$ coilovers on crappy Tokico HP shocks is beyond me.

Wordddd.

I also wonder why people lovvvvvvvvve Tokico Blues so much. Its just a damn OEM replacement. Its a quality piece dont get me wrong, but nothing out of this world lol...

Just get some KYB GS2's lol. They are cheaper and same ****.

people like them because they are an aftermarket company, but dont understand the fact that the blue is just a OE replacement

Well, the rebound is still controlled, so they're not blown, but it looks like they're having a hell of a time controlling the springs. Still I can't say I'm not a little impressed by these shocks and by how long they've taken the beating at such a ridiculous drop.

I'm not saying they belong in a performance set up, because they really don't...but they'll do fine for a cheap *** while they save up for a real set of shocks

If people would be patient and just roll with what they have while saving up for the "real" set of shocks, they could get them sooner.

After I bought my GS-R, I rolled on stock suspension for 8 months while I saved up for Koni Sport shocks and lowering springs, and it's one of the best decisions I made. Looked like hell for awhile but it was worth the wait.

Haha no doubt dude, but you can't change people's ways of thinking. "A fool and his money are soon parted," that's what they say.

And here I am on another tab looking at that damn $200 ARC shift ****...:D

How can they have a "hell of a time controlling the springs" if the rebound is controlled? It can't be both controlled and uncontrolled at the same time.

Uncontrolled rebound is what "bouncy" is. Its just another way to describe under damped. Which is exactly what you get when pairing shocks designed for stock spring rates with much stiffer rates.
