no spark tried 2 dizzys!! help
i have a crx with b16 obd1 boomslang jumper. car broke down 3 months ago. when it broke down i checked for fuel and spark i had no spark so i changed dizzy and still no spark so changed it again just incase it was a bad dizzy but no spark. so i checked my ecu fuse still good and i swapped ecu still no spark. and just recently i looked at the car again and now the fuel pump relay aint kicking on. i was wondering if the relay sends signal to get spark also is there any other fuses besides the main one under the dash and engine bay. Also is it possible car is out of time or would it still spark and anyone heard of a jumper harness doing this. also i have new plugs and wires
Timing will not effect spark.
If the fuel pump is not pumping, the fix is normally clean the ecu ground on the thermostat housing. Clean it with a wire brush, then clean it again.
Can you put the dizzy's in a running car to prove they work?
I would always do that before I trusted a dizzy laying around for a long time. It could be bad too.
The ecu sends out a .5v signal when you turn the key on during start up. If the ground is bad it will not let the fuel pump work. They don't want fuel without the spark working.
