CEL for o2 sensor, motor dies sometimes at idle
1999 Honda Accord LX 4cylinder automatic.
198xxx miles
Ok, so couple months ago sis is driving car, comes to a stoplight and the engine starts to shake and then dies. Crank the car and it starts right back up with a CEL.
CEL is for primary o2 sensor, which is the one on the exhaust manifold/header right? I replaced it with a new one (aftermarket denso), but still the same code. Could it be sometimes the aftermarket o2 sensors wiring is pinned incorrectly?
Car runs fine, its been about 6months or more like this, but just sometimes at idle ie. when i come to a stop to do a 3 point turn, the rpm fluctuates/drops and the motor dies.
Car runs fine all other times / during cruising. Just shakes/dies sometimes at low idle.
What could it be?

ok i gotta smog the car soon so i need to get this CEL cleared.
car runs fine for the most part, just shudders sometimes at idle and stalls.
replaced o2 sensor w/ after market denso back in march or april, new air filter today,
and used some carb cleaner/spray and cleaned the throttle body today. i think it was kinda dirty? as i wiped the inside with a towel and there was some black crud?
so i hoped it was just the dirty throttle body, but still getting a cel.
any ideas? could it be i got a faulty o2 sensor? i dont think i have any cracks or vacuum leaks, but how do i check?
car runs fine once again, just sometimes at idle, the idle drops or shudders and stalls.

cel for o2 sensor.
ya, there are several codes for the sensors.
only reason to change it would be a heater or slow response.
99% of the time it is a heater code.
