cleaning inside the 90-91 taillights?
I've just poked around and can't find a specific thread on this, so here goes.
Anyone have any tricks for cleaning the heck out of the OEM tails? The problem is that there's fine dirt (in this case there doesn't seem to be any algae) up in between the two lenses that make up the taillight. The dust has gathered mostly around the reverse light lenses, which seems to be pretty common.
I've just got a good price on this pair (my drivers side is smashed), and I'll be attacking them this weekend. So I'm looking for some success stories.
My thoughts:
- blast all up in there with a pressurized hose (all along the seams)
- submerge in a bucket with CLR or some toxic cleaner and shake around
- then dry it out with compressed air
Thanks, I'm going to move slowly but just really want these to get clean! I can't see a way to get them entirely apart without breaking them.. there seems to be factory seal all around the edge.

thx, I'll begin playing with them this evening and do it over the weekend, so I'll report back with what works if there aren't any tricks around!
