06-08 Civic EX Front vs Rear Wheel Width?
The user manual gives a tracking width specification that includes camber. I have estimated, at the center of rotation, the front width is 13 millimeters less then the rear width. That would be 6.5 millimeters per side from center of vehicle. That is opposed to the specified 29 millimeters (14.5 mm per side) of the tire thread tracking. Can anyone confirm or correct this center to center difference in width? Thanks.

But, since starting this thread I have come to realize that this width of the rear hub to hub also depends on the camber setting. This is because the camber pivot point is below the hub of the wheel so a change in camber setting will change the tracking width at the hub of the wheel. So, there is no one answer, it has to be measured with each change in rear wheel camber.

Almost all FWD cars have a WIDER front track dimension, including Hondas. I don't know how you could be measuring a wider width between the wheels in the rear.
The User Manual (2007 Civic Page 282) specification reads the "Track-Front-59.0 in (1499 mm)" and "Track-Rear-60.2 in (1528 mm)", a difference of 1.2 in (29 mm). In addition, in all my attempts to determine an accurate hub to hub I have found the rear to track always wider then the front. I am using two pieces of 2x4 one at the front and the other across the back with a nylon fish wire 1830 mm side to side, 12 inches off the garage floor. At zero degrees Camber (and the OEM wheels) I am finding the hubs to be 1653 mm front to front AND 1671 mm rear to rear. It does not suprise me that the 06-08 rear width is different then the general rule (your valued input) as the rear suspension design has a lot more dynamic geometry requiring (more moving parts requiring more space) then your average bear. IMHO
