Default Looking to upgrade master cylinder and brake booster, advice?

I am upgrading my wheels, tires, brakes to bigger better and unfortunately much heavier. I want to make sure that my brake boost and master cylinder are both up to the task? What should I be looking for?

is there anything available aftermarket wise?

It would help if you tell us what your car is and what brake set-up you have.

i'm going to go on the limb here and assume you have an EG or EK. if that's the case, look for the JDM ITR 1" MC and BB.

If you have an eg/eh you can use either the non-abs 90-93 integra/94+ integra RS 15/16" MC and booster or the 90-93 abs 1" integra MC and booster. Don't mix and match the ABS booster with the non-abs MC.

the 90-93 1" MC will not work unless you're planning on re-flaring the line closest to the firewall as it's a 12mm nut.

but yes, like above, do not mix and match MC and BBs.

yes its an EG with Type R brakes on it. reflareing the line shouldn't be that big of a deal... but is it worth it for another 1/16 of an inch?

it makes a diffence that you can feel. if you want a fairly direct bolt-on, find a JDM ITR MC and matching booster. the JDM ITR MC lines are both 10mm so no need to reflare, but you'll have to bend the rear line a little to line it up.

I'm using a 15/16 Integra RS MC/BB on my EG with 5-lug and Spoon calipers. works great for me. it even worked with the 13/16 before but felt like crap until my RS unit came in.

if you have 92-95 civic eg, there's a few routes you can go to upgrade your master cylinder for your bigger front itr brake set-up.

here's a way you can keep your stock eg brake booster.

swap out your stock master cylinder for a 15/16" m/c from a 90-91 civic ex 4-door.

it's a straight bolt-on, the brake hardlines bolt right up, no bending or reflaring lines.

the bigger 90-91 civic ex 15/16" m/c works well with the 17CL15VN itr front calipers
