Race at SummitPoint April 25,26
There is a NASA event at SummitPoint next weekend. I'm signed up for Honda-Challenge (H2) with my prelude, and trying like hell to get the car ready over the next few days. Is anyone else going to be there? HPDE? Race? Crew?
Walt, you better git that car together since it looks like we won't be racing each other at HyperFizzle. Pete Swartz will be there with his Prelude also.

I exploded my transmission on the standing start on Saturday
Not sure what all is busted till I get inside and take a look.
Anyone know a good place to find H22 trans or trans parts?
As for the racing on Saturday, Kevin Helms 1st, Andrew Lee 2nd, and John Oldt 3rd. We all ran H1 and had 7 HC cars total. I left the track so no idea how today went.

Saturday: Helms 1st, Andrew Lee 2nd, John Oldt 3rd, Erik Olson(Me) 4th, Matt Bookler 5th.
Sunday: Helms 1st, John Oldt 2nd, Andrew Lee 3rd, Erik Olson 4th, Matt Bookler 5th, Peter Swartz 6th.
Times were about 2-3 seconds slower than last October. I didn't see the times from the race today but I ran a 1:27.88 in Qualifying. I ran on R888's this weekend and they felt like they didn't have as much grip as the RA1's but I'll have to wait until the heat cycle a few more times to see how they get.

hi guys!
bookler was running 'PTC' setup, but since there was no other PTC, and he was racing in the Thunder group anyway, he changed his class to H1 (to help with the tires money payout, i think).
and 'hot' doesn't describe it properly! my race (stinger) was at 3:40 in the afternoon both days, and let me tell you, on sunday especially (40 min race) it was H-O-T!!!!! after the race, i could barely get out of the car, and was staggering around all over the place like a drunk.... i thought i was gonna faint!!! that sunday race was the toughest race i've ever been in my life!!!! 40 minutes of non-stop melee action, between me (ford probe PTE) and scott (nissan se-r PTE) and darren (previous H4 integra, now PTE). the entire time we never had a second of a break; no FCYs, just knock down drag out fight til the end. we went two and three abreast all over the place (darren went 4 abreast on the main straight once; he passed a bunch of miatas 4 wheels off the track on the left at the start finish, while scott and i was passing them on the right side of the track -- but we were on asphalt!!!)!!!
amazing race!!! i held on for the win, barely barely barely; scott was second and darren was third. we were nose to tail, touching each other at the finish... i don't know what our laptimes were in the race, but i qualified at a 1:27.04 (on 225 toyo ra-1s). i wish i'd had a rear facing camera on the car; the footage would have been epic!!!
