Hey, I have an 03 rsx type s and lately its been backfiring alot.. never done this before and just wondering what the cause may be. thank you for the help.

MODS; AEM cai, Buddy club RH, Greddy evo2 cat back, kpro and ips k2 camshafts with valvetrain... working on getting RBC IM... once again thanks for the help.

 

sorry i forgot to mention that this usually happens at high RPMs like when racing or when i shift between 5.5-6.3k rpms...

 

your having retardation .. you have k-pro. get it tuned..

Have you ever replaced the spark plugs? Check your spark plug gap + plug condition.

well its was tuned right after the cams were installed but they only did like 2-3 runs on the dyno and the dyno was messed up and had to be re calibrated so idk its they fully tuned it.. but u think that could be it??

 

I replaced them when the cams got installed and i checked them 2 days ago and they are good and gapped fine... so idk.
