i have a 2000 si which i have recently blown. i dont have the money to replace the b16a2 motor with another b16 and was pretty much thinking that im screwed, but someone told me that i could put a b20b in my car and wouldnt need new motor mounts or a new ecu and stuff and that it could be done using everything my car already has. is this true? any info is greatly appreciated.
dude, a b16 would cost you only about $300 more than the b20b. but to answer your question, yes, it'll drop right in, but you may have a vtec related CEL considering that a factory b20 is not vtec

ok for sure. yeah i would wait and put in another b16 but i dont have the money for it. i like need to swap it THIS WEEKEND or i'll lose my job. i work an hour away so i have to have my car done monday :\
let me see... $700 for a b20 plus shipping
so you can get a b16a2 for 1grand? shipping not included
dude if your head is still good you can put that on a b20 or at least your im cuz the one on the b20 wont clear the hood or just do an ls swap it's plug n play except no vtec just change the ecu
