Default short shift adapter

I'm thinking of adding a short shift adapter and possibly a shortened shift lever arm to my Accord. Any opinions on a good quality part? I found the Neuspeed shift adapter for about $120 (not sure if it includes a shorter shift lever arm or not). But tasauto.com has one for $40. Anyone have experience with either? I searched the forum but didnt find anything too descriptive. Thanks in advance.

If you want to feel a difference in the throws, an adapter won't do it for you. Check out these 2 companies: Forbidden and PSPEC. They are the only 2 companies that made a true short shifter for 5th gens and one of them stopped production.

Pick up one of those and a weighted **** and you're golden.

The other option is to go with Prelude parts.

I believe a Prelude shifter is about an inch or so shorter than the Accord?

Cool, I just checked both sites and both products look VERY good and have some excellent reviews. I like the further adjustability of the PSPEC shifter, BUT..... they've discontinued the 5th gen model. (Says I can use the 6th gen model but i would have to buy shifter box and cables to use the new PSPEC shifter in the older car, which i dont want to go through that hassle.) So I guess my only option is the Forbidden Motorsports shifter, which is cheaper as well.

Does anyone have experience with either the Forbidden or the PSPEC? Anyone looking to sell a PSPEC for 5th gen?

All comments welcome! Thanks!

I reccomend getting a true short shifter. I've tried the Weapon-R and the Meagan Racing short shifter. Neither made me happy. I barely noticed a difference in the shift length. The height didn't change at all.
