Default I need help getting my 97 Acura 2.2 CL to stay running.

Ok, so here is the long story.

April 4th I went to the Beer, Bourbon and BBQ festival at the Timonium State fairgrounds. My car was running just fine, I had a great time, went back to my car to leave, started up as usual, drove it about 50 feet and then nothing. The car stalls out, and doesn't start back up again... it cranks, but doesn't start up. Tried to get a jump.. figuring that maybe the battery died since the battery had tested weak at the dealership a few weeks prior.. and no dice. I ended up having to get the car towed from Timonium MD to Falls Church VA where the car sits now.

I had a friend who is a mechanic take a look at it to see what was wrong with it.. and he immediately deducted that it was the distributor (no spark, even after new plugs, wires and battery). So I go out to buy a distributor... find out that its damn near impossible to find a distributor for this car at a brick and mortar shop.. i go online. Find a Distributor for 204.00 shipped.. (awesome).. get it shipped to me, give it to my friend.. wait a week for him to find the time to install it.. only to find that the online store shipped out a distributor for a DOHC 2.2L VTEC motor. FUUUU ok... So i end up getting a distributor from AutoZone for 251.00. I give it to the guy, and he installs it today.

Now he is telling me that the car is now getting spark and fuel.. however the car will start up.. and then sputter out and die about a minute later. He said he tried running the ODB-II scanner on it to see if there are any codes.. and he isn't finding any. He told me that because I replaced the battery.. I reset any/all codes that were there.

I need help figuring this out.. it has been 12 days since i've been able to drive my car. i have a full time job and other responsibilities.. and I just can't be without transportation any more.. has anyone come across a problem like this that can help me out??

Info about the car:

1997 Acura 2.2CL
5spd
213,000 original miles.
Bone Stock (aside from a short ram intake, and a DVD player)
recently changed the plugs, the wires and the battery, now has a brand new distributor.

Found my plugs in this shape when i changed them out.

looks like they are ash-fouling somehow.. I dont see any oil leaks anywhere.. and the last time I checked the dipstick.. it is barely reading any oil at all.
