GREAT STORY.... Pager Alarm Saved my Car Last Night
So around 1130 last night i was in pacific beach sleeping at my girlfriends house. All of the sudden my pager alarm starts going off so I walk out the front door and my 00 EM1 is driving off down the street. So im standing there in my boxers wondering what the f**k I should do so I run inside get the keys to my girls G35 and take off to go hunt thos bastards down. I cought up to them about a mile away as they were getting onto the freeway. While on the freeway Im calling 911 and talking to the dispatcher telling her that im chasing my car that was just stolen. While on the freeway they picked up on me following them so they stated to go about 110 down the freeway and changing lanes trying to ditch me. When they realized the G35 was alot faster than my EM1 they got off the freeway pulled into a denny's parking lot slammed the E brake and both the guys ditched my car and ran across the street into a hotel parking lot. About a min latter 5 or 6 cop cars show up and there is a chopper circling over head. So im sitting there in my boxers a t shirt and there are about 15 cops and myself looking for these 2 dudes. About 10 min later one of the police dogs sniffed out one of the guys wrapped up in a tarp hiding under a truck in an ally down the street. So the guy was arrested my car was dusted for prints and finally at about 3 am my car was towed back to my house. Pretty crazy story so just thought I would let you guys know. F**k Thieves in San Diego.
I was stoked to chase my car down and all i wanted to do was wait till they stopped and just pound the crap out of them.
like something from the movies man, im glad you got your car and they didnt total it trying to run from you. F*@%ing Thieves.

that is an awesome story that must have been funny sittin there talkin to the cops in your boxers. It's to bad you didn't get the chance to beat the sh$% out of them
That is freaking awesome. Congrats on getting your car back. Just think if you had a control on your pager to shut down the engine while they were merging onto the freeway. Even just rigging an inexpensive remote door lock system or something could do it...
"... Heellll yeah." I said aloud.
Note to all who post an "OMG MY CAR WAS STOLEN ALL I HAD WAS DOOR LOCKS", this is what an improperly-installed alarm does, imagine a real one.
My guess is they popped the hood which had no hood pin switch, cut the siren, opened the door and push started and stuff. Get a hood pin switch and hide the siren next time, but otherwise good job OP.
