Default Need help!! Newb here

I am about to purchase a welder, i have never welded anything before but want to learn, thinking about taking a class at a local adult school, have a few questions before i run out and spend money on a new welder...

most of the stuff i will be doing is just simple fabrication stuff, nothing big!

1. what kind of welder should i get (brand wise, size wise) that would be easy to use and learn on

2. what accessories will be needed along w/ welder that will make things easier?

i have a decent budget, but don't need anything that could be used commercially!!

What kind of welder do you want? TIG? MIG? If going with a TIG the new Miller Diversion 165 might be something you want to look at. I'm not sure how much your looking to spend but the Diversion is pretty affordable. I myself just bought a Dynasty 200DX but its a VERY pricey machine..
