does anyone have experience with fabric spray paint i would like to change my ugly azz cream colored seats black.does this stuff work good does it last and what's the best brand to get??????

 

i know you can dye fabric, but i heard thats very messy

 

It fades really quick, which will make your seats look even worse.

 

man if you won't in connecticut i would trade you my whole black interior for your's

its true if you sit on the seats it will fade but not into your clothes i painted my tan prelude seats red and it turned out great until the fade. My rear seats still look as red as can be but my fronts are worn maybe ill spray them again tonight

 

I painted mine over 1 year ago. Still look decent.

 

any prep work? or you just blast it?

Sorry if this a thread jack but would this work on the work recaro stitching on the head rest. Mine is kinda faded too.

 

how long till it starts to fade and what brands did you guys use i hear dupli makes a good one.also does it make the fabric feel funny?????

 

It may matter from brand to brand how fast it fades. I tried the krylon on an old carpet and it would fade within a month.

 

I used duplicolor fabric paint. The fabric feels a bit hard at first but goes away as soon as you break in the seats.

 

yeah i've hear mixed stories on the fabric paint. from what i've seen it looks decent, just don't paint your panels they never look right.

 

ive done it to a LOT of my vehicles but finallly learned that replacing the plastics to original blacks is worth it.

Do it right the first time

 

i sprayed duplicolor on my carpet and seats.it faded away from the carpet in like a month,so now my carpet looks black mixed wit tan.and my seats they look alrit.but screw it ima buy black carpet and black seat! turns out better!

 

i was thinking of wraping the pillars in faux suade and maybe the panels if i cant find salvage yard black.

 

if you will use sem products it will work and you will have no problems. you cant just buy the spray and be done though. you have to use there plastic cleaners, preps/primers step by step and it will work flawlessly.
