Replacement Antenna for 1993 Honda Accord Sedan
Hello Folks,
I have a friend with a 1993 Honda Accord Sedan (EX) the power antenna is broken for the second time in the space of a year.
Do you folks know of any aftermarket (or OEM) non power antennas made for the 1990-1993 Honda Accord? It can be ether fixed mast or segmented (i.e. you can retract it manually)
He would like to dump the power antenna totally
Would an universal aftermarket antenna work?
Thanks
L

I have seen some people with cb7's use the s2000 antenna. not sure how they did it though. wait.....http://www.cb7tuner.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=47783... hope this helps.
Actually, Honda makes nice OEM manual antennas ($20-$30). They fit well and look great. I replaced the power antenna on my 92 accord a couple of years ago.
I can't find the original Honda part # for it, but I got it from
http://www.1sthondaparts.com.
That site is a bit tricky to navigate, and if you try searching for "antenna" from their main page, you'd get nowhere.
Instead, go to the OEM parts catalog and key in your vehicle's info. Then browse to Electrical->BodyElectrical->Antenna&Radio->ManualAntenna (*NOT* Electrical->Antenna, that'll take you to the power antenna stuff).

Ok, I found the part number, it's 08B41-SM4-100.
It's sold as an electrical accessory for the 1990-1993 DX models, and for some odd reason it's not listed as an LX or EX accessory but fits just fine, what a surprise
.
Same deal for the 1994-97 accords as well (except it's a different part # from above).

I replaced the Power Antenna Mast in my 1992 Accord EX with one from eBay...I believe the seller was raderra or something and it works quite well. I installed it about 8 months ago.
