Default 99-00 civic charge pipe question

OK. I was just investigating something. on 99-00 civic's we have 3 "ports" on the intake. one for the IAT sensor, one nipple for the hose that goes to the crankcase breather, and one more nipple for a hose that goes to a sensor (?) that goes into the block (it goes into a hole where coolant is). My question is what did u guys with 99-00 civics do about that one other hose for that sensor? It's only on 99-00's to my knowledge because on my friends 98 civic he only had the IAT and the crankcase ports. although his was an auto so i dunno if that mattered.

Do you have an EX? I have a '99 Si and as far as i can remember i only had 2 ports on my intake, one for the IAT and one for the crankcase breather hose.

if you can't find the answer let me know (PM me) and i'll look in my helms manual for you

yah it's a 00 civic ex and yeah there's 1 port for the iat, and two nipples... one for the crankcase breather and one for the other sensor. I'm at work now so i can't check to see if it's covered in my haynes manual.

Whatever it is, you're not going to need it. I only have the breather going to my filter and my iat sensor is just in front of my filter.

good question......I have 99-00ex and I believe 99-00ex is obd2.5 ecu, so it might be extra sensor for emission reasons?? I would also like to know how 99-00 ex owner covered up the third hole...

BTW...96-98 ex have 2 sensor...it doesnt matter wheather it's auto or not...

I having that problem as well...so I dont know....I think its fine to leave it close with some kind of nut(i did this with intake for like 5,000 miles..fine, but who knows what was to happen if I left it there for longer)....but I am paranoid....so I havent installed turbo yet.
