Replacing Window Regulator motor.

Default Replacing Window Regulator motor.

This seems impossible to me. i went to the junk yard and couldn't even get the motor out. i need help replacing the window motor. thanks!

Looking from your Picture. Looks like you have an EG.

The motor is connected to the regulator by 3-4 10mm bolts.

Put your window all the way down.

Pop off the door panel, move or cut the plastic stuff out of the way.

There should be a fairly large hole in the door. You should be able to access the window motor through that hole.

Get someone to hold the window up while you pop those bolts off.
The window tends to slide down real fast if you don't hold it.

Unplug the window motor wire.

Push the motor away from you so it falls off the regulator. ( This is when the window might drop fast )

And it should be right out.



When I got my window motors from the junkyard, I took the glass out and set it aside.
And did what I just told you.

its a 92 4 door civic. and i have done that but the window and the motor are like stuck together and i can't see nothing so i can't remove them apart to get the motor free.
