Default midnight purple2 paint job

well here goes, i have changed my mind half way through after spraying my eg drive side door and front wings matt black, but now am looking to do midnight purple 2 on my eg civic which i think is a pearl paint, just wanted to know are there any extra sanding or extra body work or spraying to achieve a proper pearl finish, Amer

Your paint store will tell you all that. Normally 2-3 coats of base with 1-2 coats of the pearl then 2-3 coats of clear. Or you can just shoot the base and mix pearl with the 1st coat of your clear, let that tack up then shoot 1-2 more layers of clear and call it a day.

I hope you have your money saved up to buy the MP2 paint, it's not your average tri-stage paint.
