Default Type R rear bumper cover

hey guys i have a question and i have searched through pics but haven't had too much luck. Ok here is the deal, i have a 95 gs-r, it has the 98-01 front bumper conversion on it, but still has the oem 95 rear bumper.
Did they redesign the rear bumper for the 98-01 years as well? I know they redesigned it, but i'm not sure exactly the years it was changed.
I'm wanting to get the type-r front lip, side skirts, and rear valance for my car, and if they did make the change in 98-01, and they made the type r in 97, then what rear valance did they use on that bumper. From what i understand the type-r rear valance will only fit the 98-01 bumpers. So i guess what i'm looking for is a pic of the rear bumper on a 97 ITR

97 ITR has the same rear bumper as all 94-97 integras there fore the rear valance will not fit. I am pretty positive they did not make one for that style bumper so if you want the kit you will need to upgrade to the 98-01 rear bumper cover.

Take a look at thsi Candian R with the full Lip Kit installed. This will give you an idea of what it will look like with the 98-01 rear bumper. http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ120639688

In 1998 they changed the front and rear bumper. The rear bumper is a direct replacement.

There was no rear valence for the 1997 itr. If you want the rear valence to fit without modifying it, you need the 98+ rear bumper.

so the 97 ITR is setup basically the same as the gs-r? Since you seem to know, did the 97 ITR have the "ITR" sides kirts and front lip? I ask this as well because i came across a pic with two while ITR's in it and the side skirts look like regular Integra skirts

Side Skirts on all Type R's 97-01 are the same which are basically normal integra sideskirts but painted from the factory. The 97 R had a front Lip but it is different then the 98-01 Type R's because of the different bumper cover. You have a 98 Conversion already so you need to buy the 98-01 Front Lip.

ok i searched type-r pics, yes i see that they are just painted, i guess what through me off was that i have see so called "ITR" side skirts that look like they flare up a little right at the rear fender, whether this is some ebay version of ITR or whatever, i don't know, but it makes me glad to know i can simulate this by just painting mine, yea i was just trying to see if they made a type r valance for that rear 94-97 bumper before i went and converted to the 98-01 bumper. I think that pretty much answered my questions. Thanks guys!

I guess whats confusing me is this,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-01...spagenameZWDVW

See how the side skirts flare up towards the end, well this matches the rear bumper valance, these are not regular integra skirts, but i have seen both these kinda and plain side skirts on ITR's, can you clarify this?

I hope everyone dresses up their non-R like a real ITR... So maybe with some luck all of the fakes get stolen before the real ones

Besides.... it's flattering

What your seeing in that ebay Auction is replica (FAKE) ITR optional side skirts. Basically these are cheaply made imitation version of the optional Side Skirts that are offered on integra's. I would recommend not buying these you would not be happy with the fit and finish quality. Just my opinion though

Yea i was kinda surprised i made it this far into the post without flamage, and dude come on, give someone more credit than that. I never said anything about buying the "ebay" probably all bent out of shape side skirts, i was only using the link and picture as an example. My point was i see ITR's with skirts like these, then i see some with plain skirts.

LOL yeah you can expect to get flamed if your looking at ebay parts. On a side note I prefer the stock ITR painted Side Skirt look with OEM mud guards. With the option lip kit you cannot run Mud Guards. Glad to here your not going to buy this garbage on ebay

na, props to the people cause its abs and not fiberglass, but no i don't want cheesy crap on my car, i like oem parts that fit correctly. I knew that i could get a picture on ebay thats why i went there. And no i'm not trying to replicate a Type-r, just trying to make the car look better without resorting to a body kit - blah.....

yea i'm sure that will go over well, especially on this thread, ha ha.. No i just think an integra with type-r skirts, and a shaved spoiler is sexy. but thats my opinion, i have even looked at the mugen front lip, password wants like 220 for it though.

just type in optional oem dc2 integra side skirts in the search function if you want to buy the real ones, the oem go for big dollars especially minty minty ones they are rare and discontinued . And yeah you'll need the 98-01 rear bumper to use the rear valances.
