If you don't have a dogbox, you still have to use the clutch....

I'm not really interested in a dog box, I just want to loose the "H" shift pattern. It would make 3rd usable in a autoX and I would not have to worry about a 4th to 1st down shift on track days.....M7 just came out with a electronic sequential shifter for the mini for close to 5 grand....

http://www.m7tuning.com/parts/produc...roducts_id=123

not what I want.....this on the other hand would be the sh*t for 1500....

http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothrea...int&id=3659154

they also make those shifters for 996's....

That is a Sadev Transmission..

They run about $12k or so.

Xtrac also makes a sequential gearbox for the b series, but they are a little more money.

I have seen a couple used xtrac transmissions on H-T for sale, but they were set up for drag cars.

edit: here is an xtrac for sale.. http://www.hondamarketplace.com/show...ighlight=xtrac

Hollinger can get you a sequential dogbox for the right price. It's not cheap though.

Honestly, for a 2-3 or 3-2 shift... Practice it more, it's not *that* difficult on most modern cars. If you want to get a lot of practice at it, autocross a Subaru 2.5RS or WRX STi. You will get really good at that shift in a hurry!

Actually SQS is just one of the European companies we have been dealing with over the last few months, We already have a full sequential B Series Dog Box in testing now,. You would be surprised at the headaches these things produce, not so much in the Gears but in the selection systems...
Unfortunately when it's time to move into this league- You get exactly what you pay for... And Good Dog Boxes Aint Cheap!
I hope to complete negotiations on the GEAR-X K-Series Dog Box very soon, and our Plate Type LSD.
We'll keep you posted.

This is my setup, i've also spoke with Petr of SQS racing about the seqshift the "danger" with his system is mis shifts as you can't shift faster then your synchro's can adapt. But they have a special "blocker" for that.

The geartronics system i am using will only operate together with a sequential transmission. I've bought mine via SWR motorsport in England, they are real tranny specialists and give great advise. Give www.swrmotorsport.co.uk and www.adrengineering.co.uk a visit they have a lot of info.

As soon as i got incar vids i'll post them up!

What Hp is the gear X box rated to, my Sadev ST 75-14 is rated to max 270 whp. The St 90-14 is rated to 400 whp. It also runs a 40% lock plate lsd.

I really like your splitters btw!

Thanks for the compliment, We just send a complete front splitter assembly to Dixon Cheng in the UK for his Time Attack winning Integra. Hope to have some pics soon.

Right now were looking at a couple of Dog Box options, both conservatively rated at 400 whp. It's not so much WHP Ratings we are concerned with right now. It's the tremendous shock loads created that are our main concern. I hope to have more details very soon. We are currently testing a custom Dog box in the Irish Tarmac Rallys and if anyone is going to break something those guys will! The gears are fine, it's selectors that have been of concern. Were waiting on a Sadev St 90-14. Very compact and beautifully made !
Can't wait to try it.

im surprised no one was mentioned this, but someone here on honda tech made a sequential shifter for the H-series. Was fairly straight forward because the H-trans is cable operated

Today i recieved an Email from Neil @ geartronics, he's the owner of geartronics (my paddle shift system). He has had a feature in racetechmag, thought i'd put some info up. As there is a lot of info in the article for all you tech heads!

I'm pretty sure that's Petr from SQS.

The problem with doing a sequential shifter for a D or B trans (dogbox B or faceplatted D) is the rod shifter. The barrel assembly would have to be in the shifter itself. Take a look at the Quaife sequential trans (only once I've seen in person). The barrel assembly on it is built into the trans. Cable or rod, the difficulty lies in how the shift forks in stock Honda transmissions are selected.

There was a French company called Selexy International that built a sequential shifter assembly called Dexysystem for transmissions that used solid rod/tubes (like most D and B series transmissions). I read about it in an old issue of Race Car Engineering (about 12 years ago).
